GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. Bona fide students of MMC with proper identification and library cards can access to the library.

  2. Silence must be maintained at all time in library.

  3. MMC reviewers for Criminology and other reviewers for Board examinations sanctioned by the MMC Board of Trustees can also avail themselves of the library facilities.

  4. Administrators, faculty members and non-teaching staff of MMC have the privilege to make use of the library facilities.

  5. Members and students of other educational institutions and agencies, private and/or government, with request letter from their respective Chief Librarians, may use the library materials. However, usage will be confined within the library only.

  6. MMC library adopts the open/close shelf system and library patrons are required to deposit their personal belongings at the designated baggage counter except valuables like money, cellular phones, jewelry, & the like.

  7. Defacement of books, library tables and chairs, theft of any library materials, tearing of pages and other forms of mutilating library property are strictly prohibited. Such misconduct will be reported to higher school officials for disciplinary action.

  8. Proper conduct is expected of all library patrons at all times.  Any staff-on-duty has the authority to send out anyone causing disturbances inside the reading area.

  9. A borrower is responsible to anything and everything drawn from his library card. A fine of two pesos (2.00) per day for every overdue book.

  10. Seats are not reserved and they should be left in order and properly arranged at all times.

  11. Eating and sleeping inside the library are strictly prohibited.

  12. Students are allowed to use / plug their laptop for one (1) hour a day only.

  13. Library service shall cease 10 minutes before closing time to enable the library staff members to rearrange the library stack in proper order for the following day.

  14. Any violation of the rules and regulations, it is the discretion of the Librarian to give such penalty depending upon the cause of the violation. First offense: warning; 2nd offense: written letter stating no repetition of the said offense; 3rd offense: suspension of library privileges.

 

 

For Faculty:

 

  1. Administrators, Faculty and Non-Teaching Staff may borrow five (5) books at a time.

  2. Generally periodicals and magazines are for inside use only.

  3. Faculty members are not allowed to borrow books for the students.

  4. A book which is declared lost (within a week) will be charged at a cost depending its use and availability from the bookstore.

 

For Students:

 

  1. May borrow for a maximum of two (2) library books.

  2. All one (1) copy materials, magazines, and periodicals are for inside use only.

  3. If a student was not able to return any material that he/she borrowed from the library, a fine of two pesos (2.00) per day will be implemented. However, for Filipiniana materials, a fine of one peso (1) per hour will be implemented.

  4. Return damaged books to the library for repair however, damaged books beyond repair; students will be charged the replacement cost of the books. Books that have not appeared within a week, the material will presume to be lost.

 

For Alumni:

 

  1. Any alumni person, who wants to visit or use the library, may use any of the library facilities and materials however usage will be confined within the library only.

 

 

 

THESES AND DISSERTATIONS LIBRARY POLICY

                       

            Theses and dissertations are strictly for reading and inside use only. Only the abstract part of the material can be copied however photocopying and any form of reproduction of a certain part or the whole theses or dissertation is strictly prohibited. Compliance with copyright law is required.

 

 

 

AUDIO VISUAL CENTER

 

  1. Accomplishment/Submission of request or reservation must be done three (3) days before its actual use. Reservation slip at the Audio Visual Center (AVC) shall be signed only by the professors and not by the students. It is a first come first serve basis. Reservation through phone is not allowed.

  2. Sign in and out at the Logbook provided by the center.

  3. The AVC facility is use for viewing purposes and accommodation of large number of students which will utilize the room however, any activity which can be done in the classroom (e.g reporting, presentation…) is not allowed. Viewing time is only limited to two (2) hours and thirty (30) minutes.

  4. Strictly observed the time class scheduled as stipulated in the request or reservation slip. No extension of time in order to give chance to the next user of the AVC.

  5. Minimum of fifteen (15) students per class is required to utilize the AVC facility.

  6. If users need to set up some equipment/gadgets seek the library personnel for assistance.

  7. Any professor should avail one (1) reservation per day only to give chances to the other persons who want to avail reservation within the day.

  8. Observe cleanliness and orderliness inside the AVC. (Arrange the chairs properly after using it.)

 

 

INTERNET

 

  1. Bona fide students and faculty members of MMC can access to the use of internet for thirty (30) minutes only and should be in the prescribed school uniform with proper ID and Library Card.

  2. Students are allowed to use flash drive for editing, research and printing purposes.

  3. Printing services is available in the library. Printing cost are the following:

 

Two Pesos (2.00) = Short Bond Paper (Black)

Four Pesos (4.00) = Long Bond Paper (Black)

Seven Pesos (7.00) = Any Size (Colored)
